We very pleased to announce the position of Learning Resource Manager for Captiva Learning Limited.

Since 2018 Captiva Learning and the National College of Education (part of the Oceanova Group) have supported over 4,000 middle and senior leaders in schools significantly impacting the lives of teachers, pupils, and wider communities.

Working very closely with the Academic Director and the Heads of Colleges the position of Learning Resource Manager supports Captiva’s Level 3, 5 and 7 Delivery Team Leads with administrative support related to Learning Resourcing. This includes but is not limited to managing Virtual Learning Environments and Learning Platforms, while operationally leading Oceanova’s adherence to Academic compliance as directed by the Oceanova Academic Director.

  • £30,000 - £40,000 Salary

Key Responsibilities for the position of Learning Resource Manager

  • Manage the development of the Oceanova IP library
  • Support the Level 3, 5 and 7 Delivery Team Leads with administrative capacity
  • Manage Virtual Learning Environments and Learning Platforms
  • Serve as the lead-administrator of the Delivery Team, including project management of marking and moderation activities and timetabling of learning engagements
  • Operationally lead Oceanova’s adherence to Academic compliance, including attending board meetings at the University of Roehampton as required, as directed by the Oceanova Academic Director
  • Ensure that the Operations Manual is kept up to date, which changes made communicated to the University of Roehampton link tutor, as directed by the Oceanova Academic Director
  • Support the design of new programme curricula for all programmes, as directed by the NCE and NCLM Head of Colleges
  • Support the production of video content to support learning as directed by the Oceanova Academic Director


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Management qualification or relevant experience

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proficient in using Virtual Learning Environments and Learning Platforms including but not limited to Canvas, Zoom and Teams
  • Excellent organisational skills and a sound attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
