Oceanova is rapidly expanding, and we are looking for an experienced People and Culture Advisor to join our central People and Culture Team working side by side with our fabulous Head of People and Culture.

The driving force behind the team and this critical function within the Oceanova Group is to ensure our people bring their best, true and authentic selves to work!

Key responsibilities:

• Support the Head of People and Culture in HR related content in the form of employee tools, training, and support
• Act as the main point of contact for employee questions and escalate to Head of People and Culture where needed
• Support the Head of People and Culture to identify, implement, maintain, and communicate benefit services and schemes
• Working with the People and Culture Coordinator, prepare and maintain compliant personnel files for audit reviews and record keeping
• Manage and track employee probation periods with line managers
• Support the Head of People and Culture with employee appreciation events and programmes such as new employee orientation, health and wellness incentives and departmental trainings
• Being an expert on employment Law, advising on best practice in relation to employee relations and recruitment
• Managing all ER cases in line with Employment Law and compliance policies, escalating more complex cases as necessary
• Together with the People and Culture Coordinator ensure all HR Trackers are maintained to a high standard
• Supporting the development and implementation of all new processes and procedures
• Ensuring that all policies and employment materials are up to date
• Ensuring systems are always kept up to date with a high level of data integrity
• Supporting with all reporting
• Supporting in any L&D initiatives
• Working closely with the People and Culture Coordinator on day-to-day issues

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Excellent understanding of employment law and HR best practice
• Ability to build up positive relationships with HR from all areas
• Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information
• IT literate including good Excel skills
• Good organisational skills
• Keen attention to details
